How To Build a Bridge Obstacle
Difficulty: Easy
Time Required: 2 hours
The bridge is very heavy when assembled I recommend having help when moving it. Otherwise it is easily assembled by yourself.
A bridge is a wonderful training tool especially for horses and riders. It adds a fun element when working with young riders, as it is an easy to navigate obstacle for beginners that can break up the monotony of learning to walk and stop. It is also a great exercise to have students try to stop the horse on top of the bridge when both riding or working on ground work.
To increase the difficulty of the obstacle poles can be placed at either end to elevate it off the ground, or a single pole can be placed in the center so that it rocks back and forth.
